Sedation Dentistry - Agents that help you relax (Anxiolysis)

Antianxiety agents (also known as Anxiolytics) can help you relax. They are often given when basic relaxation techniques fail and may be used in combination with other sedatives or analgesics. These agents (such as nitrous oxide and benzodiazepines) can be administered before, during or after dental procedures, and are typically administered via an inhalatory or oral route.
